Smooth Jazz 'Down Under' is a delicious recipe of the most excellent elements of Contemporary Jazz combined with a mixture of both lively and smooth R & B vocals, blended with a sprinkling of New Age, with a dash of Soul added to taste. These ingredients combine to provide a most enjoyable listening experience, satisfying the palette of even the most discerning of smooth jazz connoisseurs.

We believe that our philosophy on contemporary jazz is the key. A true commitment to excellence without fearing tracks longer than 3:20 has produced a splendid mix of music. Music that you have the time to really get into. Music as the artists intended, original and uncut.

Our musical blend has been influenced by WJZA-FM/WJZK-FM of Columbus, Ohio. Thanks to Program Director Bill Harman, these stations have broken the mold and set Smooth Jazz musical trends.

We are excited about our affiliation with Ted and Jan Hasiuk, creators of Jazz Lynx - Cafe Jazz Radio, Canada's Smooth Jazz connection. Our mutual cross-promotion of Smooth Jazz artists further enhances the growth of the Smooth Jazz format.

Our continuing association with my adopted "little" brother, Steve Laury, continues to make our trailblazing efforts just that much more satisfying. An incredibly gifted musician who initially breathed such life into the Fattburger band, continues to give to his audience. Anyone who hears 'Kee Beach' knows just how high he has set the stellar musical standards of his highly productive solo career. On a personal note, I must state for the record to those who believe George Benson is the best contemporary jazz guitarist; listen to Steve Laury. We play so many of his tracks Down Under by request that many listeners think Steve owns the Network.

The Australian Smooth Jazz audience has proved to be selective and discerning. An audience that knows how to achieve. A fact reflected by their success.

The Australian Smooth Jazz Radio Network is not for everyone. Though be advised, we're quite musically addictive.........
